Hello from Delta Gamma at the College of Charleston! Whether you are interested in joining our sisterhood, a DG alum, or simply stumbled upon this page, I want to personally welcome you to our site. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our organization!

My name is Maggie Hart, and I have the privilege of serving as President of the Eta Sigma chapter of Delta Gamma. When I moved to Charleston in 2020, I began searching for a group to surround myself with that would encourage and support me throughout my college experience. When I became connected with the women of Delta Gamma, I knew I had found this group and that these friendships would outlast our time at the College of Charleston.

Since becoming a member of Delta Gamma, I have gained more skills, friendships, and experiences than I can count. I have met like-minded women from all over the country that I know I would not be here without. All of these connections and experiences have shaped the person I am today and will continue to shape me in future endeavors past my time at the College of Charleston.

Delta Gamma was founded on the motto “Do Good”. Every day I see our sisterhood living out this motto in our community and among one another. For 150 years, Delta Gamma has connected women of impact to champion one another as we continue to transform our connections into a lifetime of belonging. The sisterhood that Delta Gamma has given me is one of a kind and has provided me with a home away from home.

Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas and other North American organizations that provide access and advocacy for people in the blind or visually impaired community or who promote sight preservation and conservation. Each year our chapter holds multiple events in our community to bring support and awareness to our foundation. Delta Gamma Foundation was formed as a complement to the Fraternity, creating a vehicle for members to promote their educational interests and social responsibility, and be a part of something greater than ourselves.

On behalf of our chapter, I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn about our sisterhood and the work we do in our greater community. My college experience has been shaped by this organization in unimaginable ways, and I have my supportive, kind, and hardworking sisters to thank for that. If you have any questions about our sisterhood or the Delta Gamma Fraternity, please feel free to reach out using the contact information below!
